At 18, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in search of adventure. And I got it. Immediately, the Navy had me jumping out of helicopters and plunging into icy cold waters to save lives as a rescue swimmer. After returning from my second nine-month deployment, I had no photos to show for all those transformative moments and breathtaking views of Bahrain, U.A.E., and Italy from inside the helicopter cabin.
So, I decided to buy my first camera to start documenting life as I saw it, with all the people, details, and adventures I found along the way. Photography soon became my creative outlet, especially when I got out of the Navy and needed it most. I fell in love with the entire process from getting to know the couples to editing the images.
Now, at Murphy Studios, I film weddings and photograph everything, including engagements, anniversaries, military homecomings, families, professional headshots and events. My aim is to capture a moment or spontaneous conversation in order to tell your story for years to come.
I’m that dad, yep, the one following around their child with a giant camera. Seriously, I’m recording whether my son is taking his first steps or just laughing at the silly faces my wife and I make at him over breakfast. We spend our weekends taking it easy on Long Beach Island. Life with the two of them is always something new, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Set Up
Before your event begins, we’ll set up the photo booth at the event location. The photo booth will be set up by cocktail hour and open to guests while they wait for family portraits. That’s it, no set up from you. Just enjoyment. And once the event is over, we’ll pack it all up and be on our merry way.

Tap to Start
Murphy Studio Photo Booths are easy to operate. All you need to do is tap to start on the touch screen and gather your group together to pose while the timer counts down 5...4...3...2...1! Then smile, pose with a prop, or jump in the air for a series of photos or boomerangs. When you’re happy with your photos, simply select them from the touch screen and email, text, or AirDrop them to your phone. Instant magic.

Share the Magic
Within 24 hours, you’ll receive a personalized live gallery and digital folder of all images from the event. You can instantly share these on social media. Once you have your photos, you can also print them out in a photo album or do with them as you will. It’s up to you how you share the magic of the photo booth memories.

Fantastic! To reserve your wedding date, we’ll need a completed contract and a 35% non-refundable deposit. If you don’t have a contract yet, just let us know and we’ll send one over! The remaining balance will be due 2 weeks before the wedding.
We ask that you trust us to choose the music for your film. We will pick music that we feel best captures your individuality and the emotion behind your day. Some songs lend themselves better to a film setting than others - if you listen to the film score of your favorite movie, chances are its much different than what you'd hear on the radio.
Yes, we ask that meals be provided at the wedding reception as part of our contract. By the time the reception arrives we've been working non-stop for up to 10 hours without a break or a chance to grab a snack, so we need a chance to recoup so we're ready to film the rest of your evening.
We have been filming weddings since 2015, and have had the privilege to film for over 100 couples. However our recommendations when choosing any professional is to to choose based on the quality of their work, rather than the amount of time they've been in business! If our work speaks to you and our style fits yours, that is the most important thing.
You want your film to last - and you want it in the best possible quality! With everything moving online and onto the cloud, DVD's are now going the route of VHS. In knowing this trend is coming, we now provide all our clients with online galleries + digital downloads so that viewing and sharing is instant and easy!
Yes we offer Same Day Edits! Same Day Edits are a great way to have something instantly to show at your wedding while you wait for your Highlight Film. Because they require a lot of pre-production work and extra gear, we have to charge for this service. Same Day Edits are available for an additional $3,500.
